Ich hatte zun\u00e4chst einen Gang runter geschaltet, auf 10-16 km Schwimmdistanzen bei moderater Geschwindigkeit. Bei einem Auto w\u00e4re das wohl der f\u00fcnfte Gang, der Schongang also. Dann kamen aber Schwimmdistanzen von 8-10 km bei h\u00f6herer Geschwindigkeit dazu \u2013 quasi im zweiten oder dritten Gang. W\u00e4hrend der schnelleren morgendlichen Einheiten versuche ich, eine Geschwindigkeit von 1:50\/100 m \u00fcber eine Distanz von 10-12 km beizubehalten. Dazu kommt Stabilisations- und Core-Training der K\u00f6rpermitte. Nat\u00fcrlich war es, zur\u00fcck in Gro\u00dfbritannien, kein Vergleich zu den Meereseinheiten in Florida, wo mich Haie, Quallen und realistische Bedingungen an meine Grenzen gebracht haben. Trotzdem ist es hart und unglaublich schwierig: Rotationstraining und Kr\u00e4ftigung der Schultern, Liegest\u00fctzen (frontal und seitlich), Massagerollen -und Dehnungs\u00fcbungen sowie dreimal die Woche Training der B\u00e4nder in Ellbogen, Armen und Schultern. Ich mach mir nichts vor, die Vorbereitungen bringen mich an meine Grenzen. Schwei\u00df, Tr\u00e4nen und Schmerzen \u2013 es \u00a0wird nicht leichter. Aber daran aufzugeben, denke nicht.<\/p>\n<p>Mit einer Energieaufnahme von 7500 kcal pro Tag ist dieses Abenteuer auch weiterhin hart &#8211; aber lohnenswert. Besonders wenn wir das Begleitschiff vorbereiten und an Schulen dar\u00fcber reden. In der Woche ab 15. Juni werden drei Schulen in Gloucestershire an einw\u00f6chigen Langschwimm- und Aktivveranstaltungen teilnehmen, um auf diese Weise f\u00fcr wohlt\u00e4tige Zwecke und unsere Expeditionen Gelder zu sammeln. \u00a0Mit tollen Preisen werden wir dabei von arena unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n<p>Danach werde ich wieder in Key West (Florida) sein und hart mit meinem Hai- und Schwimmsicherheitsteam <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nektoncrew.com\">Nekton<\/a> trainieren. Zudem organisieren wir eine gro\u00dfe PR-Schwimmveranstaltung Ende Juli\/ Anfang August. In der Zwischenzeit werde ich weiterhin 7500 kcal pro Tag in einer vollen Trainingswoche zu mir nehmen. Derzeit experimentiere ich mit Shakes als Energiezufuhr w\u00e4hrend des Schwimmens. Von diesen brauche ich ein bis zwei Flaschen pro Trainingseinheit. Manchmal auch mehr, je nach Intensit\u00e4t. In eine Flasche kommen folgende Zutaten:<\/p>\n<p>1 L\u00f6ffel Erdnussbutter<\/p>\n<p>eine Banane<\/p>\n<p>1 L\u00f6ffel Schokoladenstreusel<\/p>\n<p>25 g Molkeeiwei\u00df<\/p>\n<p>500 ml Wasser und Milch (1:2)<\/p>\n<p>Es gibt auch Tage, an denen ich mich frage, was ich da \u00fcberhaupt mache. Besonders dann, wenn meine Schultern und mein R\u00fccken so sehr schmerzen, dass ich am liebsten aufschreien w\u00fcrde. Wenn mir schlecht von der Erdnussbutter und von acht Stunden Aufenthalt im Chlorbecken ist. Oder wenn der Kopf mir sagt, dass mein K\u00f6rper einmal einen Tag Auszeit von allem ben\u00f6tigt \u2013 das ist ein echter Kampf. Aber wenn ich dann sehe, wie meine Tochter mich anfeuert, wie Schulkinder aufgeregt durch die Gegend h\u00fcpfen, wenn sie sehen, was ich da mache, dann wei\u00df ich, dass ich es schaffe. Dabei hilft mir auch der Gedanke, dass ich durch die Wohlt\u00e4tigkeitsveranstaltungen so viel Gutes erreichen kann. Ich plane, 1 Million \u00a3 zu sammeln.
