Voici trois conseils simples pour \u00a0am\u00e9liorer \u00a0rapidement votre battement :<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Cherchez \u00e0 reproduire la sensation du mouvement de l&rsquo;h\u00e9lice de bateau :<\/strong> la meilleure image pour le battement est l&rsquo;h\u00e9lice de bateau. Imaginez que vos pieds cherchent \u00e0 reproduire par leur position et leur mouvement l&rsquo;h\u00e9lice d&rsquo;un bateau. Pour cela, ils doivent \u00eatre tr\u00e8s proches l&rsquo;un de l&rsquo;autre (on conseille souvent que les gros orteils doivent presque s&rsquo;effleurer) et donc le battement doit \u00eatre au final r\u00e9alis\u00e9 avec peu d&rsquo;amplitude. Trop d&rsquo;amplitude va augmenter la tra\u00een\u00e9e et comme celle-ci augmente au carr\u00e9 de la vitesse, il est illusoire de croire qu&rsquo;on effacera l&rsquo;augmentation de la tra\u00een\u00e9e par un surcro\u00eet de puissance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Tendez les jambes :<\/strong> le battement ne vient pas du genou: si vous cherchez \u00e0 g\u00e9n\u00e9rer la puissance de votre battement par le genou, cela ne marchera pas. Vous augmenterez la tra\u00een\u00e9e de vos jambes. La flexion du genou va avoir lieu mais elle ne sera que la cons\u00e9quence du mouvement qui devra venir du bassin. Une forte flexion du genou peut compenser un manque de souplesse de la cheville (voir ci-apr\u00e8s) mais il aboutira \u00e0 un battement qui ne sera ni \u00e9conomique, ni hydrodynamique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Assouplissez vos chevilles et appuyez fort le battement :<\/strong> la cl\u00e9 de la propulsion en battement de jambes vient du fait que la cheville va projeter l&rsquo;eau vers l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re. Pour cela, il faut que la cheville puisse former un certain angle avec la jambe. Thierry Souccar)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Assouplir ses chevilles est donc important pour les nageurs qui ont les chevilles particuli\u00e8rement rigides. Mais il y a aussi un petit \u00ab\u00a0truc\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 savoir: plus on appuie fort son battement de haut en bas, plus l&rsquo;eau va exercer une pression sur la cheville et plus celle-ci aura donc de facilit\u00e9 \u00e0 se mettre en position id\u00e9ale pour projeter l&rsquo;eau dans la bonne direction. Il est donc conseill\u00e9 de ne pas h\u00e9siter \u00e0 fouetter l&rsquo;eau avec son pied de haut en bas lorsqu&rsquo;on bat des jambes. Ce coup de fouet prend tout son sens s&rsquo;il permet \u00e0 la cheville de s&rsquo;\u00e9tirer vers l&rsquo;arri\u00e8re.
