D\u2019un point de vue technique, c\u2019est un mouvement compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rent de tous les autres, m\u00eame en ce qui concerne l\u2019endroit d\u2019o\u00f9 provient la pouss\u00e9e, dans le cas de la brasse il s\u2019agit principalement des jambes (70 % des jambes et 30 % des bras)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-20261 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arenawaterinstinct.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/ARENA_breaststroke_blog-1.gif\" alt=\"ARENA_breaststroke_blog\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>CONTEXTE HISTORIQUE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La brasse est, croit-on, le mouvement le plus ancien et le premier \u00e0 avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 en comp\u00e9tition. Le capitaine Matthew Webb a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier homme \u00e0 traverser la Manche \u00e0 la nage \u2014 entre Douvres et Calais \u2014 nageant la brasse pendant 21 heures 45 minutes sans s\u2019arr\u00eater les 24 et 25 aout 1875.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION DU CORPS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Assurez-vous que votre corps demeure horizontal, align\u00e9 avec la surface de l\u2019eau ; votre t\u00eate doit fendre l\u2019eau pour vous permettre de respirer vers l\u2019avant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>JAMBES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le mouvement des jambes consiste en un coup simultan\u00e9 des deux jambes vers l\u2019arri\u00e8re, apr\u00e8s avoir ramen\u00e9 vos talons vers les fesses en pliant les genoux. Vos pieds doivent \u00eatre orient\u00e9s vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur pendant le coup de jambe afin de pouvoir les \u00e9tendre avant de les ramener \u00e0 nouveau ensemble \u00e0 la fin du mouvement. Le bon moment pour effectuer le coup de jambe se situe \u00e0 la fin du cycle de respiration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BRAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le mouvement de bras lors de la brasse commence avec le corps en position horizontale, les bras \u00e9tendus devant la t\u00eate, les mains rapproch\u00e9es et les paumes tourn\u00e9es vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur \u00e0 un angle d\u2019environ 40\u00a0\u00b0. Au d\u00e9but de la phase de traction, maintenez vos bras \u00e9tendus puis tirez presque exclusivement vers l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur avec vos mains jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019elles atteignent le niveau des \u00e9paules. Pliez alors vos coudes et tournez simultan\u00e9ment vos bras afin que vos mains ne balayent plus en un mouvement circulaire, mais qu\u2019elles soient tourn\u00e9es vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur jusqu\u2019\u00e0 se joindre sous la poitrine. Gardez vos coudes rentr\u00e9s pendant que vous ramenez les mains, mouvement qui doit s\u2019effectuer sous l\u2019eau.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPIRATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Respirez vers l\u2019avant : soulevez votre poitrine pendant que vous tirez avec vos bras et finissez en poussant vers le bas avec votre poitrine jusqu\u2019\u00e0 retrouver une position parfaitement horizontale, ceci afin d\u2019exploiter la pouss\u00e9e vers l\u2019avant qui provient du coup de jambe qui suit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VIRAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour effectuer un virage (ou \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e), vos deux mains doivent toucher le mur en m\u00eame temps, ramenez donc vos genoux sous votre poitrine pour \u00eatre pr\u00eat \u00e0 les presser rapidement contre le mur, puis poussez. Au cours de la coul\u00e9e, vous pouvez ex\u00e9cuter un mouvement de bras complet jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce que vos mains se retrouvent le long de votre corps, tout en ex\u00e9cutant un coup de jambe de brasse puis un coup de pied papillon.<\/p>\n<p>Le fait que la brasse soit tellement diff\u00e9rente des autres mouvements signifie qu\u2019un nageur de brasse est tr\u00e8s souvent un nageur d\u2019un type inhabituel, pas particuli\u00e8rement dou\u00e9 pour les autres mouvements.
