Quels sont les traits distinctifs qui font d\u2019un nageur un jeune \u00ab\u00a0talentueux\u00a0\u00bb\u00a0? Voici quelques id\u00e9es&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019usine \u00e0 talents c\u2019est le fruit en haut du panier\u00a0; c\u2019est la cerise la plus douce de toutes, mais aussi la plus am\u00e8re au go\u00fbt. Le talent implique la volont\u00e9, la vertu, la d\u00e9termination et l\u2019envie. C\u2019est avant toute chose un cadeau\u00a0: divin selon les croyants, naturel pour nos amis la\u00efcs.<\/p>\n<p>J\u2019ai volontairement \u00e9crit \u00ab\u00a0talents\u00a0\u00bb au pluriel dans le titre, non pas tant pour parler des diff\u00e9rents athl\u00e8tes concern\u00e9s, car ce sont les diff\u00e9rentes capacit\u00e9s, qualit\u00e9s comportementales, habitudes, comp\u00e9tences et attitudes qui composent un TALENT.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque je pense au fait de rep\u00e9rer un talent, je ne pense pas tant \u00e0 un groupe d\u2019enfants s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s scientifiquement avec une motricit\u00e9 exceptionnelle, g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement avantag\u00e9s, mais plut\u00f4t un groupe quelconque d\u2019enfants de diff\u00e9rents \u00e2ges, tailles, capacit\u00e9s, qualit\u00e9s physiques, niveaux d\u2019interaction et motivations (c.-\u00e0-d. les Pierre et les Jeanne ordinaires).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question\u00a0: tous les enfants ont-ils du talent\u00a0?<\/strong> La r\u00e9ponse est&#8230;oui\u00a0! Un talent unique ne transformera pas un nageur en champion et inversement, l\u2019absence de tout talent particulier n\u2019emp\u00eachera pas un nageur d\u2019en devenir un\u00a0; c\u2019est parce que personne n\u2019a tous les talents et que personne n\u2019est totalement d\u00e9pourvu de talent (les talents peuvent \u00eatre divis\u00e9s en trois ensembles\u00a0: qualit\u00e9s ou aptitudes psychologiques, qualit\u00e9s ou comp\u00e9tences physiques, caract\u00e9ristiques anatomiques). Rep\u00e9rer des talents, c\u2019est comme p\u00eacher avec un filet tr\u00e8s large.<\/p>\n<p>Bien souvent, les enfants n\u2019ont pas conscience de leurs capacit\u00e9s jusqu\u2019au moment o\u00f9 un entra\u00eeneur clairvoyant le leur montre\u00a0; c\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment pr\u00e9cis, quand l\u2019entra\u00eeneur parvient \u00e0 d\u00e9finir le concept de \u00ab\u00a0r\u00e9ussite\u00a0\u00bb associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019am\u00e9lioration et non pas \u00e0 la victoire, qu\u2019un petit dauphin peut s\u2019engager sur le chemin du d\u00e9veloppement de ses propres qualit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question\u00a0: \u00e0 quel point \u00ab\u00a0l\u2019environnement\u00a0\u00bb influe-t-il sur le d\u00e9veloppement des qualit\u00e9s associ\u00e9es aux talents dans une perspective \u00e0 long terme\u00a0?<\/strong> R\u00e9ponse\u00a0: beaucoup\u00a0! Mais permettez-moi d\u2019ajouter que\u00a0ce que j\u2019entends par environnement ce sont ces diff\u00e9rents facteurs : les parents, les entra\u00eeneurs et les programmes d\u2019entrainement, ils sont cruciaux pour le d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un talent et ils exigent un travail d\u2019\u00e9quipe.<\/p>\n<p>Les parents ont une influence \u00e9norme sur la carri\u00e8re de leurs enfants\u00a0: encourager la d\u00e9termination, leur faire assumer leurs propres responsabilit\u00e9s, les aider pendant les p\u00e9riodes difficiles, en leur apprenant \u00e0 garder les pieds sur terre lorsqu\u2019ils se laissent emporter, en faisant confiance \u00e0 l\u2019entra\u00eeneur et en se rendant compte que pour d\u00e9velopper la bonne mentalit\u00e9 chez leurs enfants, qui sont maintenant des athl\u00e8tes, il faut passer par un long processus d\u2019entrainement<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s tout, c\u2019est la responsabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019entra\u00eeneur de nourrir le talent chez ses athl\u00e8tes\u00a0; il doit en permanence savoir jusqu\u2019o\u00f9 ses athl\u00e8tes peuvent aller et comment il peut les y emmener, cr\u00e9ant ainsi une culture de l\u2019excellence.
