In 2016, for the first time Canada plays host to the FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) from 6-11 December in the nation’s southernmost city of Windsor on the Detroit River. Water instinct brand arena is proud to participate in this global event as an official sponsor and technical partner of FINA. Around 1,000 swimmers from 175 nations are scheduled to converge on the world-class WFCU centre over the six days of competition, contesting a total of 46 events. Among the rosters of world-class athletes will be a number of arena Elite Team champions, including 2016 Olympic conquerors Gregorio Paltrinieri, Katinka Hosszu and Sharon Van Rouwendaal, and Rio silver/bronze medallists Chad Le Clos, Cameron Van Der Burgh, Mitch Larkin, Gabriele Detti, and Daiya Seto. In anticipation of the clash of aquatic titans, arena has created an informative guide providing background to the event, location, and Elite Team athlete perspectives on training and competing in the short course pool.
